I am 43 years old (i live in Greece) and my family includes my wife 2 kids (4 and 5 years old) 1 pit bull terrie, 1 boerboel(south african mastiff) and 1 african grey parrot.
I always been fun of dogs (specially those with an inherid guarding instinct) not really because i had a need for protectiion (my general believe is that we have to protect them exactly like we do with our kids and not the opposite) but because this instinct is a pure testimony of their love toward us and the dominance in their teritory.
As kid with great interest noticed that many dogs specially in the country side and working with livestock they had very pronaunced this instinct. Read the rest
